Who are you interning under, what do they have you do, and out of all your responsibilities which is your favorite/most interesting?

I am interning under Laura Mynahan. Laura has me work on the interior design and architectural aspects of projects, including furniture and material packages and architectural plans.

Where do/did you go to school and what subject do/did you major in?

I go to school at Wentworth Institute of Technology and I’m a third year, studying architectural design.

How did you first become interested in your field of study?

I became interested in architecture because my family and I have always been around a construction site. My Dad is a general contractor and owns his own business. Over the years it has become somewhat of a family company with everyone helping out. I knew that when I grew up, I wanted to be involved in the field in some way, but I also wanted to be “artsy” and be able to create things. That’s when I discovered architecture and realized it was the perfect mix of construction and creativity that I craved.

Have you interned here before, if not, have you interned elsewhere?

I have not interned at Element before, however I have interned before at a civil engineering company called Medford Engineering and Survey.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have two French bulldogs named Charlie and Oliver.

If you could go to dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? Why?

If I could go to dinner with anyone I would go to dinner with Christopher Walken, because I feel like he would have cool and interesting stories to tell.

If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would you go, why, and who would you take with you?

If I could travel anywhere in the world I would love to travel to Italy. This is because they have great architecture and beautiful cities and landscapes. I would take my family because they would love to visit there as well.

What is your favorite app and why?

My favorite app would have to be Spotify because I love listening to music and podcasts and it’s great that I have access to so much on one app.

What is on your bucket list?

I would love to travel to as many national parks in the US as I can. Specifically, I would love to go to the hiking trails and national parks in Arizona and California.

Fall, winter, spring, or summer? Why?

FALL!! Fall is perfect clothing weather where you can wear a light sweatshirt and comfy clothes without sweating but it’s also not too cold that it’s uncomfortable to be outside for a long time.

THANKS FOR THE INTERVIEW and your hard work, Annie!
